As you may or may not know, March 8th is International Women's History Day. Consequently, it was kind of odd seeing commercials like this earlier today.
This campaign is simultaneously abhorred by some women and (judging by the video commentary and link backs,) adored by others. I have drank far too much tea to be judgmental and will instead turn this into a list of
TOP 5 MALIBU STACY-ISMS!
Okay, so you may not remember Malibu Stacy, as the relevant Simpsons episode was back in 1994, but surely you could piece it together. Or find it and watch it. Anyhoo, this came to mind recently when I read about the potential West Virginia Barbie Ban. It's Barbie's birthday, you know. Malibu Stacy and Barbie had somewhat similar pasts.
In any case, Lisa was very excited to get her talking doll.
